Well, it only took six months to finish my first animated short, A Matter of Logic, with the help of alter egos Shank Godley Butcher (music) and Jeefunk (design and animation). Together we are Triplets. The new production company is EyeKandi.
The story has a bit of history. It was performed by Shank at his first gig in Alexandria in Sydney and received a great response. At the end of the reading, the audience simultaneously moaned. They drooped like punctured tires. But since then, the story has failed to impress editors. I think it’s been rejected a dozen times. So I just thought, fuck it, I’ll present it differently. It worked in front of a live audience, so hopefully, it works as a short video.
Compared to my last video, Assimilate, it’s a step up in terms of production quality and I’m pretty damned proud of it. After three months of designing, recording, mixing, animating and editing, we find ourselves with no promotion budget, so if you like it, please share it.
Get settled on the couch with a very small serving of popcorn (the duration is three and a half minutes), fire up the projector, turn up the volume, and enjoy A Matter of Logic.
